Simalytics
Privacy Policy
Effective 2026-07-15
This policy explains how Kyter, LLC handles information when you use Simalytics. Simalytics is an independent companion for Simkl and requires a Simkl account for its core features.
Information stored on your device
Simalytics stores your Simkl access token in the iOS Keychain. Synced watchlists, viewing progress, ratings, memos, title metadata, preferences, and image caches are stored locally on your device so the app can load quickly and work reliably.
Signing out removes the Simkl access token and locally synced library data. Uninstalling the app removes its local data according to iOS behavior.
Simkl account data
Sign-in occurs on Simkl's website. Simalytics receives an authorization code and exchanges it for a Simkl access token through Kyter's API. The app does not request your name or email address from Simkl.
Simalytics sends the access token to Simkl to retrieve and update information in your Simkl account. This includes your account identifier, watchlists, viewing progress, ratings, memos, and related title activity. Simkl links this information to your Simkl account and handles it under its own privacy policy and account settings. Simalytics also sends search terms to Simkl's public search API without attaching your Simkl access token.
Diagnostics
Simalytics uses Sentry to receive crash reports, performance measurements, and other technical diagnostics used to maintain app functionality. Simalytics does not attach your name, email address, or Simkl profile to Sentry events. Authorization, token, and cookie headers are redacted before events are sent. This diagnostic information is not used for advertising or tracking.
Kyter API and infrastructure
Kyter's Cloudflare Worker exchanges the Simkl authorization code, validates Simkl access tokens, and proxies selected TMDB requests. It has no application database and does not intentionally persist authorization codes or access tokens. Cloudflare processes request metadata and operational logs needed to deliver, secure, and monitor the service.
Other services
Simalytics uses the following services to provide app functionality:
- Simkl for account sign-in, library synchronization, searches, and title data.
- Sentry for crash, performance, and diagnostic reporting.
- Cloudflare for API hosting, security, and operational observability.
- TMDB for cast, person, and watch-provider information.
Photos, location, advertising, and tracking
Simalytics can add a poster to your photo library only when you choose Save Image. It does not read or upload your photo library. Simalytics does not collect precise location, contacts, or advertising identifiers, and it does not use data for third-party advertising or cross-app tracking.
Support communications
The Send Feedback action opens your email app. Kyter receives your email address and anything you choose to include only if you send that message. Support correspondence is retained only as needed to respond, maintain appropriate business records, and comply with legal obligations.
Retention and deletion
Data in your Simkl account is retained and deleted according to Simkl's policies and controls. You can sign out to remove Simalytics' local account data, manage or delete your Simkl account through Simkl, and uninstall Simalytics to remove its local data. Diagnostic and infrastructure records are retained according to Sentry's and Cloudflare's configured service policies.
To ask Kyter about its data or request deletion of support correspondence, email dev@kyter.com.
Children
Simalytics is not directed to children under 13, and Kyter does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through the app. Contact dev@kyter.com if you believe a child has provided personal information to Kyter.
Security
Kyter uses reasonable technical and organizational safeguards appropriate to the information it processes. No transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
Changes
Kyter may update this policy when Simalytics or its service providers change. The effective date at the top of this page identifies the latest revision.
